Good morning! I'm staying home today to work on a few sewing projects. I went to lunch with Sylvia on Monday, Dianne on Tuesday and yesterday I spent a few hours with Nathan and Andrew while Shannon took Megan shoe shopping. She took the baby with her, too, so it was just me and the 'big' boys. It was fun. We watched The Incredibles which is Andrew's favorite movie right now.
I want to sew today because tomorrow I'm having lunch with my friend, Joan and I want to make a few "grandma" things for her to keep at her house when her grandson, Hudson, comes over to visit. I'm making a flannel blanket and a flannel changing pad for her to have on hand for his visits.
I enjoy sewing these things so much. I put on my music, open the window so I can hear the birdies chirping and get some fresh air, and I go to work in my own little world. As I sew, my mind wonders and I think about the person I making the blanket for and the baby who will be wrapped up in it. My mind also wonders to other things, in other words, I get some of my best thinking done in my sewing room while I work. Right now, it's my mission to do a lot of thinking and relaxing and this is one of my favorite ways to do that.
Before I go up, I'm going to call my sister-in-law in Montana and thank her for her calls, card and kind thoughts while my Dad was ill. She and I never connected directly and I want her to know that I got all of her messages and how much they meant to me. I am trying to contact all of my friends who left messages while I was gone to let them know how much I appreciate their kindness.
It's a beautiful spring day here in Southern California. It's supposed to be close to 70 degrees, sunny and clear. Pretty near perfect.
HUGS!

I'm glad you have something that can help you to relax and take your mind off of things. I'm also glad you are enjoying your CD, I would be lost without music!!
I enjoyed all of the pictures....you are such good Grandparents! It also made me envious...I want to be a Grandma too. I suppose it's a good thing I'm not though since my only child lives 1200 miles away!! LOL! Your's are certainly adorble and the baby couldn't be any sweeter.
I'm so glad you are taking time for yourself.......it's so important to take all the time our heart needs to begin the healing process. I'm still praying for you, Kathy.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Sugar
You are such a compassionate person sewing and taking care of others. I wish it was 70 here, alas we are in a winter storm warning yet again. It's suppose to be anywhere from a dusting to a good 2 ft. depending on where it wants to dump. (Hugs) Indigo
